Over the school holidays I spent two weeks in the Red Centre.  The first half was more of the tourist thing, but in the second week I spent five days on a tour with Desert Tracks in the Pitjantjatjara lands just over the border in South Australia.  It was an opportunity to glimpse the life of the Anangu people who maintain ongoing physical and spiritual connection with their traditional lands.

ImageIndigenous Hospitality House (IHH) residents offer a peaceful, homely atmosphere for Indigenous people supporting a family member in Melbourne’s hospitals.

Supported by the Church of All Nations and by the Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress, the IHH is is also supported by Christians of various denominations, other groups, individuals and volunteers.

Since its birth in 2001, the Indigenous Hospitality House has received over 850 guests from across Australia via Aboriginal Liaison Officers in a range of hospital and communities.
