The Broader Community is made up of a combination of people who began the project, representation from the Church of All Nations (CAN) and the residents.  This Committee is responsible for the bigger picture and longer term aspects of the success of the IHH.  This includes fund raising, contributing to the well-being of residents, approving any money to be spent or changes to the property, etc.

The Broader Community meets once each month at the house.  In addition they hold a Broader Community annual review at Gembrook during the school holidays between Terms 3 & 4 each year.

Each resident is assigned a ‘mentor’ on the Broader Community.  This person is available for the resident to contact if they have any questions, suggestions or difficulties.  Once residents are more established at the IHH the Broader Community representatives become ‘contact people’ rather than ‘mentors’.
